3rd edition of LBC Worldwide Corporate Games opens

The 3rd edition of the LBC Worldwide Corporate Games has kicked off with great enthusiasm and camaraderie in Tema, marking a significant milestone in the realm of corporate sports.

Organized by LBC Worldwide, a global health and safety crisis management organization, the games underscore the importance of sports and physical fitness as part of corporate social responsibility.

This year’s event, slated to run for two months, features 24 teams divided into four groups: Accra Zone A and B, and Tema Zone A and B.

The games aim not only to promote physical activity but also to foster stronger bonds among LBC Worldwide and its partners in the maritime industry.

Speaking about the significance of the games, Philomina Ocloo, Supervisor of Operations at LBC Worldwide, emphasized their positive impact in strengthening relationships within the corporate community.

She highlighted the benefits of such initiatives in promoting teamwork, collaboration, and employee well-being.

Among the participating teams in this year’s games are prominent organizations like the McDan Group, Ghana Fire Service, Pioneer Food Cannery Limited, and Quality Foods. Their involvement reflects a commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering a sense of community within the corporate sector.

The opening match, featuring the Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA) and the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF), showcased thrilling displays of athleticism and teamwork.

The game concluded in a riveting 3-3 draw, setting the stage for an exciting tournament ahead.
